WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN

FBI (FD258/fd1164) AND C216C FINGERPRINT CARD?

  • The FBI standard fingerprint form FD-258/FD-1164 is used to obtain a Police Certificate from the US.​​
  • The RCMP-certified C216-C fingerprint form is used to obtain police clearance in other countries (except the US).

* Some countries will only accept their own fingerprint card. if that is the case, You may need to use our ink-and-roll service to capture your fingerprints by actual ink.

You need the Criminal Record Check from FBI or a foreign country.

​​Your fingerprints will be taken electronically using the Livescan system, then printed out on the FD-258/FD-1164 (for the FBI) or C216C (for any other countries) and handed out to you.

​​Livescan will produce the best possible quality of fingerprints (compared to ink fingerprints)

Process

  • We will take your fingerprints electronically using the Livescan system. 
  • The fingerprinting card will include rolled and flat fingerprint impressions. 
  • Your fingerprint card will be printed and given to you on the spot. 
  • You will need to follow the instructions and send the fingerprinting card to the requesting country.

What to bring
