A background check is a process used to verify a person’s history such as someone’s criminal record, education, and employment history. For most cases, you will need to provide your Criminal Record Checks to the Immigration Office in order to complete your application. If there is anything on your record, the IRCC will be notified and they will have to have a look closer into your application before making a decision.

You will need to bring 2 pieces of valid government-issued identification such as Driver License, PR card, Passport, Study/Work permit. The only difference between Permanent Residence application and Canadian Citizenship application is we can help to get your fingerprints done ahead of time for Permanent Residence, but not for Canadian Citizenship. For Canadian Citizenship, we will need to see the request letter as it provides the information such as application number and where to send your fingerprint result directly to.

When you come for your appointment, please have 2 IDs ready as we will need to check it and double check the reason for your fingerprints.

Then we will proceed to upload your information to our system, you will be ask to double every information before we submit it. This is to ensure everything is correct and reduce any risk of delaying your result.
